ready to let go

It is hard for some to sell that cute baby furniture but once it's sold it is so worth it. To be able to give your toddler a new room with more of a big boy or girl feel means the world to them. Jackson and Bailey both have the cutest little beds and love them and I can tell that Brooklyn will be ready for a big girl bed too with in the year. Since Jackson got his toddler bed at 22 months and Bailey 26 months , I just can't imagine my baby Brooklyn in one of those just yet and she is 23 months which makes me nervous. Why is it that I'm not ready to let go of the baby years just yet? I don't want her to turn two. I know it is going to happen but not ready just yet. I will probably keep her in her crib for as long as possible. I started thinking about this because I just had a client call that wants cute boy nursery furniture. Everything from a crib, dresser, changing table, rocking chair, bedding, wall art, rug, etc...and any other baby room item. If you would like to find out more about selling these please email me at brookeverdell@sbcglobal.net. So give your toddler a true gift of a new big girl/boy bed and watch the squeals of joy on their little face. Miss Brooklyn will just have to wait a few more months. Again if you have a crib, dresser, or chair, table and chair set, or changing table you are ready to sell just let me know. It will be a very stress free transaction for you and you keep 70% of your asking price. All you do is set up a time for pick up and get the cash the same day as long as buyer agrees on your set price. Sometimes the hardest part is to get it to storage or just out of the way. This for sure it much less stressful with a bigger payoff..because I've been there and done that!

so you want to know why I do this??

So today was spent going through a lot of items that are about to list. Its always nice when a good friend or two joins you to make the day go by faster. However 9 kids running circles around us seemed to distract us from staying focused long enough to finish a thought but hey we are MOMMA's and very much use to it. It's funny how when talking to fellow Moms in action, how we always seem to compare and contrast our kids, ups, downs, loss, the "me toos" and I don't do that or this. It doesn't matter what type of mood we are in before, seeing a friend that you know just understands you, you always seem to feel better after talking with them. Just having someone else say "yes I've for sure been there and for sure done that" can be a deal breaker for a good day vs. a difficult one. A lot of people once they see all of the work that goes into an ebay type of business and children's consignment ask me "how do you do this? It must drive you crazy having to do this out of your house at times." Sure I would love to not mix home and business as far as space goes but at the same I time I have found a way I can be home with my kids, teach them some fun things in the process, and at the same time connect with others doing marketing which is something I have enjoyed since my first marketing course at college. There are days where I miss the office of course and for the ease of knowing exactly what my day was going to look like but I've always been a live in the moment kind of person and so far have enjoyed the road of having my own business. What started as selling a few things here and there has now turned into something that literally could keep me busy all day if I allowed it to but hey there is no way my 3 or 1 year old girls will go for that although they do love getting to go through the endless amounts of shoes and pretty dresses! So why you might ask? Well  I have always loved a good deal and think that maybe that is why I enjoy consignment in the first place. The thrill of the hunt per say. I bring others in connection with others that ultimatley help both parties involved rather it be through the internet, ebay, selling out of my home directly with my personal clients, or a number of other ways..but it is neat to think of all the money I'm either saving someone or earning someone that in return is helping another family. I guess that is how I sort through hundreds and hundreds of items after a long day at home with the kids. My personality has always been if I'm going to do something I'm going to do it 100%. Thats my soap box for today so I guess I can move on to working on getting my house put back together after a full day of playing store with two sweet dear friends, only when we were little I'm sure having a total of  10 kids running circles around us in our minds looked much much different.

So what's in it for me if I choose BEEN THERE DONE THAT?

A very simple process and my clients keep 70% of the profit! I pick up and deliver. My clients get the check directly in their pay pal account or the mail. Just ask me how I make money by listing items for many with what they choose to sale. As a mom of 3 little ones I know how important finding a good deal is. Shop, become a client I sale items for, or like many..do both. Email me for pics of current products, info on my services, to get on my email mailing list and about my referral program. Save money and time because believe me, I've been there and done that!

So I want you to sale something for me..now what??

My rule of thumb on getting started is to figure out what you need and what you can live with out. If an item in your home isn't fufilling a need, want, or use than what is the value of having it at all? This is a great question to ask yourself when trying to decide what to hang on to and what to sell.Just because you no longer need that baby swing or size 3t doesn't mean that someone else isn't seeking to find a good deal or a nice quality item that now serves no purpose in your attic.

1. Call or Email to set up a time either to bring your items to me or I can come to you to do a run through of your items, take pics, and then do your inventory.
2. You will then approve of a spreadsheet inventory that will be emailed to you before the items actually list to make sure that nothing got put in the sale by mistake .
3. You will approve of trying to get the most for your item by an action style listing, best offer, or set a minium purchase price by placing a reserve on the item.
4. I will then take pictures of all items and determine which items will sale together.
5. I then create an ad for each listing and upload pictures to it and if applies do a slideshow on my blog or email to others that match the demographics of the item or items I am advertising for you.
6. Watch the offers come in or auction go up. Then YOUR ITEM IS SOLD!
7. I then collect payment for your item/items. Confirm ebay fees and pay pal fees and make sure those are paid from your listing if applies.
8. Ship or deliever the item for you.
9. I collect 30% off the top of the purchase price.
10. Then 70% of the amount that is collected is sent directly to your pay pal account or can be mailed to you depending on your preferred method of payment.
11. When all sales have been made you will receive a sales report with all of your sold items and its purchase price.
12. Use the funds you made to buy lots of like new items for your child’s new sizes from my online store or save up for that big trip you have been wanting to take with your family!
It’s that easy!! Never again worry about how you are going to sale all of the things your family has outgrown or doesn’t use anymore!! Been There Done That Boutique is the perfect solution to doing just that and make money for the things you really NEED at the same time!!

Please feel free to email me at brookeverdell@sbcglobal.net for more information or if you would like to be on my email mailing list so you can browse my current inventory.

What Is " Been There Done That "?

In short: "Been There Done That" is a home based business where I sale for others and others come to me to buy. If done wisely you truly wouldn't have to spend much of anything to keep buying your family the new sizes they need is what I came to discover once I started selling on Ebay. So let's say you start with what you have now that is outgrown, have me sale it for you, take the money you earned and buy new stuff either through my site or ebay deals and then turn around and have me sale again and then its like the never ending cycle of not having to dig deep to dress your family amazingly cute for half the price. I also am a fan of boutique clothing so I tend to list it regularly because either I hunt it down on ebay/consingment sales or once it is off season at local shops then stock up. Call it an obession but I love KIDS CLOTHES! I spend a lot more time in their closets than my own and not sure why. I guess maybe reliving my days of dressing my baby dolls although I still enjoy playing house with my two girls there is something sweet about seeing them look so cute and taking pride in picking out their own clothes...yes already my 22 month old has an opinion and my five year old son thinks he is Mr. Cool. So I tell you all of this to say that with a family of 5, I felt like as their Mom it was up to me to figure out a way to make dressing them more affordable. We are very blessed as we have lots of little siblings and it just so happened that my 7 year old brother and 6 year old sister outgrows something just about the time my kids are ready for it, so I know that it is possible to have like new clothes that still look brand new! All it takes is a little more effort, spot treatment, some oxy clean to lift out any stains unseen at first, and hang to dry on the designer clothes to prevent fading and wash wear...it CAN BE DONE.  I take great pride in the the things I list so take a look. Send me your email address to get the feature items emailed directly to you just in case it is something you have been looking for and now can have for half the price you were going to spend. I take credit cards, cash and check. If you are within 30 miles of Sherwood I can deliever or pick up is available. So right now I have over 1,000 items I am currently listing for others and most of them are things I have already had myself in my five short years of MOMYHOOD. From strollers, car seats, bouncer seats, bottles, toys, ride ons, play mats, bumbo seats, endless amounts of clothes of all sizes, maternity, infant must haves, playtables, etc....I have lots of options for you and the best part is you don't have to fight a crowd to look at it. Shop online or set up an apt to come to my house see so much more. I even can come to you as long as you give me the sizes you are looking for or what you are interested in. Stress free is my goal for you regardless if you are having me sale items for you or if you are wanting to shop with me. A lot of clients list things with me year round and some are just customers. Regardless I hope to make your load a little lighter because I've "BEEN THERE DONE THAT"!!
