Worth the Effort

I don't know if there has been a hotter summer but the kids sure don't seem to notice. They could be out in it all day. Our summer so far has been full of ball, ball, and ball. This is the last weekend of ball for  a while as Jacks in playing in Regionals til Tuesday. Then we start packing and prepping for the beach. I started thinking about when we get back it will be time to start getting school supplies, uniforms, etc and wait a minute....where did our summer go again?~!~

Regardless of how slow or fast some of summer days seem to be one thing is for sure it is much more fun with friends. For the kids and of course for Mommy too.

The girls are such girly girls and love to play with other little girls. I hear things about AG, LK, CA, and EG often and so its always a treat to meet for the day and play away. Looking forward to all those late summer sells so I can stock up for next summer. Last August I got these cute dresses for the girls for only 5.00 and they fit perfect. I always think o wow there is no way Brooklyn can wear this next year bec I remember how huge the 3t looked when I held it up to her last summer but she came threw and grew right on track of course. One year makes such a difference when they are this little. It still is hard to believe I already have a 3,5, and almost 7 yr old. It truly seems like yesterday they were 3,1 and newborn. Trying to enjoy the moments and not get caught up in the past or the future is tough but worth the effort.

Some of my favorite outfits on the girls are homemade. I have found some amazing talent on facebook like this talented mom who makes the cutest custom clothes. This is a just a t-shirt and it turned out so cute.
And here is a smocked shop that does such cute things. I got this swimsuit for the girls with monogram and shipping for only 20 bucks. So precious. So if you happen to get a chance check out my new listings at www.facebook.com/beentheredonethatboutique and I bet you will fall in love with something that you can no longer do with out. Love all my customers. I have made lots of new friends just by my home business and that even makes it more worthwhile to me. Hope you enjoy the savings and I will enjoy helping you out for many outfits to come. Some ask me is it worth the effort of all your research and hunting to save like you do on all your boutique finds...YES! I love to stay home and I also love boutique clothing for my kids. Why pay 65 bucks for something when I can go to more effort and get it for 20..still brand new and with tags...! Its like working but instead of money as a reward its money off the item which is money I don't have to shell out. I sell baby gear, home decor, furniture, toys, shoes, and clothing mostly. Come and check it out if you are local in AR and if not then I ship worldwide too. Hope you are enjoy your moments today. I promise it is worth the effort.

Hurry while they last. Like always there is an asking price and then if you want to risk it then you can do a best offer by email. All I need is your name, phone, and the item you are wanting and $ amount. If you are the first one to offer the asking price then the item is yours and no one else can buy it. However if you do a best offer then there is always the possiblity that you will not get it. Risky but could get you an even better deal.

For ex: I will say the asking price for the lady bug red dress with black dots from gymboree is 9.00. So you would email me and say
"hi my name is kate bailey and I want the lady bug dress for $9. Then the item is yours and could be in your hands within the day depending on if you are local. Now lets say you like the dress but didn't want to spend that much on it. You could email the following: "hi my name is kate bailey and my best offer for the lady bug dress is $6.50." You would then just wait 24 hrs and if no one sends a message of a higher amount then 6.50 then the dress is yours for that amount.

In summary If you want any of the items you see pictured then you must email me at brookeverdell@comcast.net. Include: Name, phone, email, item u want, and the amount. If you don't put best offer then I will assume you don't want to take a chance on not having the item so you decided to offer the sellers price. Feel free to ask any questions at all.

remind me again please

Sometimes when I feel like I'm being pulled in a thousand directions I have to ask "why do i do it? Just in case you are new to my blog here it is again on the purpose of my small home business. Being a mom is a constant been there done that experience along with a lot of new bumps along the road. I am a stay at home Mom by day and a ebay business owner by night. I will have new listed for purchase as I consign hundreds of items for Mommies that just don't have the time but would love the extra cash! Also on my blog you will find tips, contests, and funny stories of course on Mommyhood adventures of many "been there done that moments" from our home to yours. In short: "Been There Done That" is a home based business where I sale for others and others come to me to buy. If done wisely you truly wouldn't have to spend much of anything to keep buying your family the new sizes they need is what I came to discover once I started selling on Ebay. So let's say you start with what you have now that is outgrown, have me sale it for you, take the money you earned and buy new stuff either through my site or ebay deals and then turn around and have me sale again and then its like the never ending cycle of not having to dig deep to dress your family amazingly cute for half the price. I also am a fan of boutique clothing so I tend to list it regularly because either I hunt it down on ebay/consingment sales or once it is off season at local shops then stock up. Call it an obession but I love KIDS CLOTHES! I spend a lot more time in their closets than my own and not sure why. I guess maybe reliving my days of dressing my baby dolls although I still enjoy playing house with my two girls there is something sweet about seeing them look so cute and taking pride in picking out their own clothes...yes already my 22 month old has an opinion and my five year old son thinks he is Mr. Cool. So I tell you all of this to say that with a family of 5, I felt like as their Mom it was up to me to figure out a way to make dressing them more affordable. We are very blessed as we have lots of little siblings and it just so happened that my 7 year old brother and 6 year old sister outgrows something just about the time my kids are ready for it, so I know that it is possible to have like new clothes that still look brand new! All it takes is a little more effort, spot treatment, some oxy clean to lift out any stains unseen at first, and hang to dry on the designer clothes to prevent fading and wash wear...it CAN BE DONE. I take great pride in the the things I list so take a look. Send me your email address to get the feature items emailed directly to you just in case it is something you have been looking for and now can have for half the price you were going to spend. I take credit cards, cash and check. If you are within 30 miles of Sherwood I can deliever or pick up is available. So right now I have over 1,000 items I am currently listing for others and most of them are things I have already had myself in my five short years of MOMYHOOD. From strollers, car seats, bouncer seats, bottles, toys, ride ons, play mats, bumbo seats, endless amounts of clothes of all sizes, maternity, infant must haves, playtables, etc....I have lots of options for you and the best part is you don't have to fight a crowd to look at it. Shop online or set up an apt to come to my house see so much more. I even can come to you as long as you give me the sizes you are looking for or what you are interested in. Stress free is my goal for you regardless if you are having me sale items for you or if you are wanting to shop with me. A lot of clients list things with me year round and some are just customers. Regardless I hope to make your load a little lighter because I've "BEEN THERE DONE THAT"!!

TURNING 2 AND DON'T HAVE A CLUE?

On what your little birthday girl should wear either for pictures, a party, church, or to just feel like a princess on her special day!!

Here is my" Monday Fun Feature" for the week:
Does your little girl have a special #2 Birthday coming up and then I'm sure parties to attend?! MISS BROOKLYN has a perfect solution to her wardrobe needs!!

Because my little girl turned 2 Wed, yes I am sad in case you are wondering, I thought it would be appropriate to make the first of the week feature a beautiful smocked dress with  a cake and two birthday candles on it(my fav detail of the dress). The owner took off some of the length to make it easier for her little one to play in at the party but I just let it back out to make it longer and that way the new owner can have the length adjusted if they wanted. These pictures were taken with the length taken up so now it can go more towards mid calf if you prefer the longer style bishop dresses. I love the longer dresses but also know that it is harder for them to go up steps, slide, jump, etc...really depends on the occasion. This dress is TDF and so precious on too. It was worn twice and is in great condition.  I had Brooklyn model it for me and she thought she was big stuff. This dress is from The Toggery and retail is $52.00. It is a Rosalina Collection size 24m dress. Enjoy!

Price today: $17.00. That's almost 65% off retail. The first person that requests it at brookeverdell@sbcglobal.net gets it for the 17.00 price. Enjoy!
Here is some pics of Brooklyn showing out in it.

POTTERY BARN KIDS ITEMS FOR SALE

Do you love Pottery Barn Kids?? I have the cutest little boys nursery set just in from a client and it is adorable. It was only used for a year and is to die for. I'm talking the bed skirt, bumper, quilt, two sets of sheets, bassinet sheets, window treatments, frames, canvas art from PBK, three framed pics to match bedding for the wall, another piece of wall art that is for putting special things on in the nursery from PBK, frames, a georgeous PBK rug that is still in its orginal packaging for storage and has all of the info inside on care for it, the colors of this PBK set is blues, orange, brown, green red, taupe, and white. I told my husband just seeing it made me want to have another baby boy just so I could use it. I love the detail and stitching of Pottery Barn and I promise if you want something from PBkids for your nursery don't spend over 1,000 to get the look and quailty you are going for. If you want more info on this set just let me know and I can email you the pics of this set. Hurry bec it won't last long. It is fromt he 2007 line so is still very current and then has a great resale value. Hey you could even use it then turn around and have me sell it for you and basically get back most of your money. This is what I do for most of my girls clothing and toys. If you shop just right and get the high quality item at the right price then the turn around basically pays for itself and then you aren't out any money in the end. Ask me how I do this and I will be happy to share. Remember the only fees I have is if I sell an item for you directly. I don't make a dime unless the item sells and when it does I take 30% and you keep the rest. So you don't have anything to loose because I don't make anything unless I sell your item. For ex if you have a smocked dress you want me to sell for you. It cost 60.00. You got it last year after season on sale for $30. Your little girl wore it and now you want to sell it. I sell it for $25.00 My fee is $7.50 and your take home is $18. That means you basically bought a dress that would have been 60 for $12.00 if you buy it on sell and then let me sell it for you. Of course the item must still look great to sell it for that price and be in style and not out dated. I find it best to sell stuff the next year at the longest two if I want to get the best turn around. This method generally works better with higher end items but I have another method for items from Gymboree, Gap, and Children's Place, and Old Navy. Hope this helps explain a little more on how I can save you money or make you money for the items that are just sitting in storage or that you know you or your child isn't using anymore. Thanks so much for all of your support and for passing the word around. I have more items than I ever thought possible when starting helping others sell items just a year ago. I'm very excited to see where this new adventure takes us.
